Community Guidelines

Effective Date: April 2026

EchoDrop is built around authentic emotional connection. These guidelines exist to keep our community safe, respectful, and welcoming for everyone.

By using EchoDrop, you agree to follow these guidelines. Violations may result in content removal, account restrictions, or permanent bans.

1. Be Respectful

• Treat every person with kindness and empathy.
• Disagreements are fine — personal attacks, insults, and name-calling are not.
• Respect people's identities, backgrounds, and perspectives.

2. No Harassment or Bullying

• Do not target, intimidate, or repeatedly contact someone who has asked you to stop.
• Do not share someone's personal information without their consent (doxxing).
• Do not encourage others to harass or pile on another user.

3. No Hate Speech or Discrimination

• Content that promotes hatred or violence against individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic is strictly prohibited.
• Slurs, dehumanising language, and symbols associated with hate groups are not allowed.

4. No Explicit or Inappropriate Content

• Do not post sexually explicit images, videos, or text.
• Do not post graphic violence or gore.
• Content is automatically screened. Explicit material will be blocked and may result in immediate account suspension.

5. Protect Young People

• EchoDrop requires users to be 13 or older.
• Do not attempt to contact minors in ways that are inappropriate or predatory.
• Adults interacting with younger users are subject to additional safety measures, including rate limits and behavioural monitoring.
• Any content that sexualises, exploits, or endangers minors will result in immediate permanent ban and may be reported to law enforcement.

6. No Spam or Manipulation

• Do not send unsolicited bulk messages, promotions, or repetitive content.
• Do not create fake accounts or impersonate other people.
• Do not use bots or automated tools to interact with the platform.
• Do not artificially inflate engagement (fake likes, follows, or vibe checks).

7. No Dangerous or Illegal Activity

• Do not promote, glorify, or encourage self-harm, suicide, eating disorders, or substance abuse.
• Do not promote illegal activities, including drug sales, weapons trafficking, or fraud.
• Do not share instructions for creating weapons or dangerous substances.
• If you or someone you know is in crisis, please contact your local emergency services or a crisis helpline.

8. Respect Intellectual Property

• Only share content you have the right to share.
• Do not post copyrighted music, images, or videos without permission.
• Give credit when sharing others' work.

9. Be Authentic

• Share genuine emotions and experiences.
• Do not spread misinformation or deliberately misleading content.
• Do not use EchoDrop to deceive, scam, or defraud other users.

10. Privacy and Consent

• Do not share private conversations, screenshots, or personal information about others without their consent.
• Respect other users' privacy settings and boundaries.
• Do not attempt to circumvent privacy controls or access restricted content.

Reporting Violations

If you see content or behaviour that violates these guidelines:

• Use the Report button on any profile, post, or message.
• Use the Block feature to prevent further contact from a user.
• Email us at alistairakrofimanteyabram@gmail.com for urgent concerns.

All reports are reviewed by our team. We take every report seriously and will respond as quickly as possible.

Consequences

• First violation: Warning and content removal.
• Second violation: Temporary account restriction (24-72 hours).
• Severe or repeated violations: Permanent account ban.
• Illegal content (CSAM, threats, etc.): Immediate permanent ban and report to law enforcement.

We reserve the right to take action at any level depending on the severity of the violation.

Appeals

If you believe your content was removed or your account was restricted in error, you can appeal by emailing alistairakrofimanteyabram@gmail.com with the subject line "Appeal". Include your username and a description of the issue. We will review your appeal within 7 business days.

Changes to These Guidelines

We may update these guidelines as our community grows. Material changes will be communicated through the app. Continued use of EchoDrop after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated guidelines.
